Investment objective
ERB Short Duration EUR Fund aims to provide investors with consistent absolute returns primarily through investing in fixed income securities, money market instruments and bank deposits (principally denominated in Euro or other currencies linked to the Euro).
The fund invests at least 55% of its total assets in fixed income securities and at least 10% in bank deposits. These include bonds and money market instruments with short term maturities and duration typically less than five years.
Based on the average valuation of the assets, the percentage of fund assets invested in fixed income securities and deposits must be within the range of (i) Fixed income securities: 55%-90%, and (ii) Bank deposits: 10%-45.
The fixed income securities may be issued by governments, governmental agencies, companies and supranationals.
The average duration (which is duration adjusted for the proportion in which the Fund holds each investment) is not expected to exceed a five year period.
It may also invest in complex and derivative financial instruments for the purposes of efficient portfolio management or hedging.
The fund will not invest in equity securities.
